One was an orb-weaver that we found in the living room corner, which I moved to my study, and has since disappeared -- perhaps lost to the many funnel-weavers I have in that room. On Christmas day Arwen found a seven spot ladybug in her bedroom window. Both are most likely from the various house plants that we leave outdoors through the summer. Earlier in the season I found 2 live earwigs in a pack of <em>gai lan</em>, one of which survives in a container of dried leaves, surviving on carrot and apple.
